Here's a lift of future experiments I came up with for future students taking this Creative Writing Course! Twist on Fairytales: Take a childhood story like Alice in Wonderland or Pinocchio, a story that everyone knows, and put your own spin on the plot to change the outcome of the story without manipulating the intended moral. Comic Book Chronicles: In light of the Black Panther and Avenger Movies that came out this year, create your own superhero comic book! Pick and watch one of the 8 Harry Potter Movies and break down the type of genre or category the movie falls into. Is it a/an (Escape, Romance, QUEST...) Have the class write down on a sheet of paper the first movie that comes to mind. Then have them write a poem based whatever it is that they wrote. Know Your Buddy: Pair up with a classmate that you do not know and tell each other briefly about one another. After you're done talking for about 10 minutes, write a short story about them.
